Here’s my contribute to the Aphmau Fandom 😭🤭 I’m gay.

Katelyn gently pushed the coffee cup into the slot, pushing a few buttons on the machine and listening to it whirl to life. If you told Katelyn years ago that she would be here, making coffee and waiting for the day to start, she would have laughed and called you crazy. She didn't think she would survive their trip from Starlight Wonderland, but here she was.

The woman moved her mug from its confinement and nursed it in her hands as she made her way to the porch. The spring morning air hit her hard. It was cold and dewy out. More of a reason for her to be outside. The bird chirped softly. It was nice. She preferred this over another trip the group could plan. She swore to herself she would never leave for a trip like that again. At least not for a few years. She was too hurt -physically, mentally, and emotionally from Starlight. She wanted to rest for the rest of her life. No more fighting. No more trips. No more anything. Just home. Where she belonged.

It took her months to build the confidence she has now. She lived under her father's roof for those months. Both Katelyn and her father knew she couldn't be trusted at home alone.

"Katelyn?"

The voice was soft and sweet. It pulled at her heart, making it flip. She smiled, placed the mug down, and turned to look at the voice.

Nana stood in all her glory. The blue button-up hung loosely on her shoulders and barely covered her thighs. It left everything to the imagination. Katelyn cleared her throat and beckoned the female.

Nana smiled, shuffled over, and sat in the blue-haired girl's lap. Katelyn's arms snaked around her hips and hummed, kissing her bare shoulder.

"You okay?" The meif'wa pulled away and sat down completely, legs on either side of the older one. "You woke up a bit earlier than normal," she pouted slightly, her hands cupping Katelyn's cheek.

Katelyn couldn't help but lean into it. Nana was always so warm, almost a walking furnace, she liked to blame it on her cat genes. "I'm more than okay,"

"You took your meds, yeah?"

Katelyn nodded, letting her free hand trace some of the jagged skin near Nana's collarbone. She watched the other shiver. "You put your cream on?"

"Mmm, not yet," Nana watched her girlfriend stiffen a bit. "but I will," she added. "Promise,"

The human grew quiet again, just staring at the beautiful woman before her. Nana let her, purring softly.

The moment was broken when a yell was heard. Both girls snapped their heads to the source. There stood Aaron and Aphmau. Aphmau waving. Aaron, like always, staring dead on. Katelyn couldn't help but wonder when his eyes would heal. Nana laughed and smiled. Waving back. Katelyn held her waist to keep her from falling, the shirt slid up a bit, showing the light pink undergarment.

Katelyn laughed and pulled the shirt back down, glancing at Nana. "Hey, sit down, you're gonna give them a show if you continue," she chuckled.

Nana squeaked and sat back, hiding her face in Katekyns neck. "Katelyn~Sama," sometimes Nana's old ways slipped, and every time Katelyn's heart skipped a beat.

"Good, you're so cute," She held the meif'wa closer, kissing her jaw and looking up at the other two. "Good morning!" Aphmau shouted something back before she was pulled away.

After a few moments: "Katelyn?"

"Nana?"

"I love you,"

Katelyn blushed and pulled away so she could see Nana's face. Both their faces are bright red. "I love you too,"

garroth:

obsessed with the movie megamind. like seriously. will talk to you for hours on and WILL defend the "sequel movie" and show because, in fact, they are NOT that bad.

can infodump about a topic he's interested in for hours on end.

actually really smart and kind, but ever since he found out he made zane insecure he tries to tone it down. he used to show off a lot but wants to make sure his brother shines as well.

carries stress balls on him so he doesn't use his strength unnecessarily.

always organizes group movie nights with all his friends.

laurance:

loves to listen to and read AITA (am i the asshole?) reddit posts when bored.

an amazing listener, will listen to someone for hours on end and provide insight when needed (perfect for having a conversation with garroth).

loves gossiping. he has really good hearing so he tends to hear others share secrets nearby. he's like the wine aunt you just KNOW has the most interesting stories to tell.

likes to go on vacations a lot, explaining why he is absent sometimes during big group events.

he sometimes returns home to his family farm to take care of it when his parents are out of town.

he often voluntarily babysits caleb to impress aphmau and garroth with his caretaker skills (he's a showoff).

katelyn:

she loves the show big time rush and watches it in her freetime.

OBSESSED with musical theatre and visits broadway shows often. if the friends she brought along even DARE to suggest skipping the stagedoor? they receive a glare that could kill thousands.

adores singing and often sings in her room when the others aren't home.

continues to play volleyball with her friends after a long day of work (she's a freelance writer).

her music taste can range from alternative music like waterparks to kpop groups like red velvet!

KC:

an ao3 writer as well! she and Aphmau gift eachother fics from time to time! she mostly writes x reader fics for tumblr sexyman.

has taken a liking to cooking outside of baking! she especially likes to grill! she even wears an apron that says "kiss the cook" as well as a hat that says "fish fear me women love me".

watches any and all trending animated shows like tangled the series, adventure time, avatar, etc.

has her own tumblr blog where she writes reviews on shows and posts art! her page is quite popular.

dresses in mainly lolita fashion! she has a flare for the beauty of style and loves to recommend people styles and outfits whenever they go out shopping!

loves to bake and nana teaches him all kinds of recipes to make. he supplies the snacks at movie night.

takes taekwondo lessons. "can never be too careful" he says while living in a pretty standard upper middle class neighborhood. why is he like this.

works at a pet shelter and takes care of the dogs and cats left behind. he adopts any that have been there for years, thus making his house full of many different pets.

the designated driver for whenever they go out to clubs. he doesn't like to drink so he usually takes everyone home by the end of the night.

travis (the actual headcanons):

actually respects others and doesn't harass them like he did early on (that was a weird trope and i HATED it). he's just a flirt and if someone he flirts with flirts back he gets all flustered.

the group gamer. spends hours grinding on all sorts of games just to brag about it on his steam profile. specifically a fan of the spider-man games on playstation.

loves to cosplay! he, aphmau, and nana go to lots of conventions together in group cosplay. their last one was the powerpuff girls! they dragged garroth along and made him mojo jojo.

can recite everything and anything about the ninjago lore. this man is obsessed with any lego product or franchise and has many sets built in his room.

practices talking to himself in the mirror every morning to give him confidence. he has very low self esteem.

aaron:

Aphmau: Romances Shadowheart, accidentally fucks Lae’zel by skipping through all the dialogue and pressing whatever speech option is first

Seven Minutes in Heaven

Hey All!! First actual story post!

Note: This was written with an OC in mind, who has her own story, as well as will be the main focus of most of my fics. However, I'm thinking I might make a lil' collection of x Reader stories, so stay tuned for those!

OC's Name: Miami Blue Lycan

Pairing: Miami Lycan x Garroth Ro'meave

”So, when are you gonna ask him?” Kawaii~Chan asked, holding the top of her cup lazily. And like I always did when she brought him up, My face burst into flame.

“I-i- wh-what?” I asked, turning to the pink haired girl. “Ask who what?” “Garroth-Kun, obviously.” She said, wiggling her fingers in a wave to Garroth. Who was currently staring directly at me. I pulled the skirt lower, trying to cover my legs. They were always too friggin’ thick.

“KC, Me and Garroth aren’t a thing! Haven’t been for a while.” We haven’t talked much since I moved in. Mostly it’s jusg been reconnecting with friends not…

whatever Garroth Ro’meave is.

”Well, anyway, I see Aphmau-Senpai over there, so I’m gonna go talk to her, m’kay?” Kawaii-Chan giggled, walking over to Aph.

“I love KC as a friend, but actually what the heck is she talking about right now.” She’s planning something. Most of the time at Parties, she’d be trying to talk to Katelyn, maybe Dante, but her and Aph plot…

“AUGH!” I jumped, putting my fists up. Garroth gave me some space, hands up, with a smirk on his face.

"Hey Miami." I deadpanned, as Garroth held in his laughter. "What?" I snorted, and I coughed, trying to cover whatever that was, and crossed my arms.

"Nothing, just you scaring the absolute crap out of me, no big deal." I groaned, rubbing my forehead. I caught sight of Garroth's smile and blushed a little. Pushing my sunglasses down. "Keep it cool, Mia-" I thought, looking away. I don't want to hurt him.

"Well, I think this'll be worth it. I have a game we can play~" He teased, guiding my chin back towards him. My heartbeat picked up, and I took a shaky breath. I looked away, cheeks flaming.

"What game would that be, Gar?" I asked, wincing at the wobble in my voice, stupid Garroth, always being so cute, and persuasive, and stuff.

"Well, Travis started a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven." Garroth suggested, and I smiled, expertly hiding the internal panic.

"Uh oh." I thought, my cheeks keeping their same temperature, barely feeling Garroth's palms.

I sat in the circle, glancing around at all of the people around. "I have no clue why I'm so nervous, I've never played this game." I thought, looking over to Garroth.

"Alright! I'm sure you all know the rules to this game, so let's get started!" Travis shouted, causing a cheer to rise from the group. I spaced out, focused more on the beat of the music playing softly in the background, turned down in favor of hearing other's talk. I snapped out of it, feeling Garroth lightly brush over my knuckles. I looked down at my hand, before meeting Garroth's comforting eyes. He tilted his head towards Travis, making my head follow his lead, and turn towards the white haired man.

"You ready, M?" He asked, a concerned look on his face. I nodded, rubbing the arm keeping me propped up.

"Y-yeah, sure." I answered, a small smile on mine. I took the bottle in my hands, and took a deep breath. "What's the point of this game anyway?" I thought, mindlessly spinning the bottle. What do you do when you get in the closet?" I thought, before a weird noise tickled my ears, as I looked up, to see Kawaii~Chan, as well as others giving me a smirk. I blinked, confusion evident on my face, before I looked to Garroth. Whose face was completely red.

"Oh my Gosh, Gar! Are you oka-" I started, before he pulled me up to my feet, and dragged me behind him to the closet situated right before the front door. It was small, and cramped, especially with the four jackets taking up space in the already tiny place. 'Wh-what are we doi-" I was abruptly interrupted by the closeness of Garroth's face to mine. His breath was fanning over my face, and "Oh, Irene, why?" I blushed, as he didn't pull away, his eyes flicking to my lips, as I took a step back, and a hit to the head. "Agh." I winced, feeling the back of my head.

"Jeez, Mia, you alright?" He asked, putting his hand wehre I bumped it.

"Y-yeah. I'm good. Thanks for checking." I said, looking up to where his face is. It was quiet for a little bit, before a question ambled its way into my brain. "So! Uh, how do you play this game?" I asked, shyly, tilting my head so my hair would fall in my face, and getting comfy in my spot on the wall.

"You don't know?" Garroth asked, a bit of confusion in his voice. I could hear his heartbeat quicken. His hand rested on my cheek “When did it get there?” as he pulled me closer, “Is he gonna kiss me?”and I’ve never been this close with anyone but him, “Where do I put my hands?” and somehow, I’m not mad at it “WHY AM I SO CALM?”

“D-don’t know what?” I stuttered, looking up into those beautiful blue eyes. He ran his thumb over my cheek tenderly, as he thought.

“How dare he just casually give me a heart attack?!?”

“Most of the time, at least at these parties, Seven Minutes in Heaven is used when the group wants two people to get together.” I tilted my head, a bit confused.

“W-well, doesn’t that mean… that people want us to get together?” I asked, hands still chilling at my sides as a piece of curly hair dropped into my face.

“Maybe…” He chuckled a little, and I did too at the quiet filling the dark room. I felt his heartbeat quicken again.

“So… how to these people end up getting together?” I asked, and I felt his hand brush against my forehead. I heard his heartbeat quicken again, making me tap my fingers against the wall. He quickly stopped the clicking but gently grabbing hold of my hands, making my heartbeat quicken now. “Werewolf’s pace…”

“Is it okay if I show you?” I nodded slowly, closing my eyes, heart still beating quite fast.

“Alright Love Birds! Come on out!” Kawaii Chan giggled. The door quickly opened to reveal a happy Garroth and a profusely blushing Miami.

Do you have any opinions on the character designs within the aphverse?

Example: too many characters have blue eyes, there aren't enough (x) traits, etc etc

I mean, I DO think too many characters have blue eyes. Between Dante, Laurance, Garroth, Katelyn, Zane - thats already the majority of the friend group.

I dont mind the blue hair/blue eyes combo, but Dante AND katelyn having it is a bit much 🤷‍♂️ AND they couldve kept Laurances original colour pallet :( I totally get changing the design bc of the skins, but in MYS theres no lore reason for Laur having blue eyes so at least they shouldve been green right??? Im also devastated hes not ginger but alas <\3

I think overtime the girls in the show have less variety, particularly in the hair. No different lengths or anything. I mean, just take Cadenza! She has longass hair in s1 but it eventually gets cut the same length as Kate, KC and Aph. The girl with THE most variety in character design - and probably one of the best designs imo - is Kim, and i literally couldnt tell you a single one of her character traits other than 'possessed'. Her highlights are different and I like her colour pallet.

The guys all look... kinda similar too. But they did well differing them in little ways, like hair partings and such. I do want Laurance's long hair back tho. Jess dont be a coward give us ling hair ginger laurance

I think its very funny that Laurance has ABSOLUTELY NO fashion sense, but i would like clothes to be more consistent! I like Dante's outfit with the button up/button up/shirt combo, even if it was ridiculous it felt in character - although its a shame that after Aarmau was made canon no other character could wear purple or red, because dante looked good in red!! I love Garroth's hawaiian shirt getup and they should bring that vibe back for him for sure.

I dont think there are enough brown eyes im gonna be real brown eyes are beautiful and like. way too many inbred eyes /lh

this isnt so much an issue with character designs because. minecraft. but there arent many different body types. Like, I think Aphmau and Zane are fat, and then Travis has broad shoulders (according to 1 line of dialogue in s1, and hes still buff). and everyone else is just somewhere on the sims4 slider of skinny and strong.

It wouldve been neat seeing disabilities other than zane's blindness purely because of limited differentiation in design. Like, going forward into s7 I would love to see Travis keep the wheelchair bc im pretty sure he cant. recover from that. unless they pull some aphmau magic bs

All in all im torn abt Luci because I think its cute for her to be the odd one out (as i said in my If-I-Was-Tasked-With-Rewriting-Mystreet post), but thats clearly not the intention and you kinda forget shes a witch at all. Which would be cool if it was brought up? idk. Her black dress + bow was her best outfit i think. The red eyes and the bright ginger hair is a lot on the eyes and the black is a good combo for that.

TBH, the only Aph outfit I liked was the one from Season 3, but her current skin (non-mystreet) is actually very cute. I like it a lot

People have said this a lot, but one BIG issue i have with the mys designs is the colour pallets. Im a big fan of shows where one character is heavily associated with one colour, and though this doesnt HAVE to be the case for Mystreet, Id like then to be consistent. Kate's colour has always been blue, Travis' colour has always been green, Aph/Aaron Purple/red, Kc pink, zane black/grey, and Garroth is usually blue. but Dante, Laurance, Lucinda, Melissa, etc have had some super inconsistent ones.

One character design that I like across the series is actually KC. Once they know how to pair the pinks and black/white well, they do pretty well with it! Its just a lot of pink and easy to get wrong. but they do well

Travis' also isnt that bad, the outfit of his i really remember was fhe green hoodie and black trousers which felt correct.

To go back to the eye colours, Its fun to see Jess' thought process bc like. almost ALL of her love interests have blue eyes except aaron? idk. food for thought.

the book that Zoey is reading to Levin and Malachi in Episode 83, it sounds like it could've been a really interesting and good parallel to Laurance and Aphmau in like, seasons 2 and 3

it's kinda sad that Laurance didn't hear about Hayden's "death" from Cadenza, but from Aphmau :(

Things I Have Noticed/Remembered from my MCDiaries rewatch

I will be updating this as I continue my rewatch, currently everything listed is out of order, cause I've started writing this as I am on episode 64 of season 1 and I don't feel like fixing it to be in order, so sorry!

What the fuck was Garroth's "plan" he mentions to Zenix in the first episode 😭

Zenix seems to be younger then Garroth in Diaries, considering the way that Garroth talks about him, but I think in MyStreet, Zenix is either the same age or slightly older then Garroth, so far this is like, the only obvious age difference between the series (besides Travis and everyone else of course)

I forgot how entertaining Brendan's character is, he's far less annoying then I remembered

ZANE AS AN ACTUAL BAD PERSON, I LOVE HIM

I love Vylad, but I legit forgot how much he was in Diaries season 1, I thought he was in it far less

Currently at the stage of Diaries where there is no lgbt+ people, i'm very disappointed by this (we haven't even reached the queerbaiting)

KC's character is....not as bad (racist) as I was expecting, still not great though. I'm choosing to believe that KC is from Tu'lu and Maid Cafes are a thing there, and "Kawaii~Chan" is just a stage name for her work.

Y'all know how Cadenza went missing and she was actually turned into a chicken? Yeah, the way Hayden, Castor, & Laurance talk about her to Aphmau makes it sound like Cadenza is a small child. But then it turns out she's the same age, if not older, then Laurance and Aphmau.

Aphmau should've just made Joh and Hayden lovers, I'm so serious, it would make the whole Cadenza and Laurance being "close like siblings" in season 1 to I think actually being called as siblings in season 2 and in MyStreet a lot easier to understand and make a lot more sense.

Why does Kenmur have like, some sort of romance with all the girls from Meteli??? He was engaged to Sasha and is stated to have feelings for Cadenza.

I love when the episodes open from Sasha's POV, and she goes and talks to Gene and there's just no voices. I love having to pause to read what they're saying. (this point is sarcasm)

The way literally everyone reacted to learning Laurance was blind was....icky. Like, I understand Cadenza and Aphmau reacting as like "we need to find a way to bring his sight back", but the fact that it was literally EVERYONE who decided he needed to get his sight back was so weird.

I don't mind Laurance ACTUALLY getting his sight back, but I wish it was done differently. Like, personally, I'd have him like, have to wash his face with the water of the fountain of Lady Irene.

After Zoey and KC were able to turn Cadenza back to her human form, Zoey mentions that she "recognizes Cadenza from somewhere", but I don't think this goes anywhere???? I'm assuming it was supposed to hint at like, Cadenza's backstory.

I need to mention that in one episode (before Aphmau went to Scaleswind and learned about Lady Irene), Garroth says to Aphmau "by the seven", which I think she was hurt, but the use of "by the seven" is similar to how the same phase would be used in Game of Thrones or to how irl lots of people say "oh my god", so I'm really wondering if there were originally supposed to be 7 Divine Warriors instead of 6.

The way when Aphmau found Levin and decided to keep him and Garroth IMMEDIATLY decided he would be Levin's father figure.

The way when Laurance found out that Aphmau had a kid, his response was to play with Levin and say to Aphmau "you didn't tell me you had this little buddle of joy/energy".

What are your opinions on Aphmau x Zoey and Katelyn x KC? - from a very sapphic MCD fan

Both are fantabulous- Aphmau and Zoey are a classic, really. I've always been a friends to lovers type of gal (see literally every single ship art I've ever posted) and I feel like Aphmau and Zoey's relationship has a lot of nuance to it in terms of interactions, personal feelings and history, how they show love, etc. but is also one of those ships that you can just appreciate at surface level for being adorable.

I would also be super down for Katelyn and KC, but it just occurred to me that they don't actually have a lot of interactions or screen time together in MCD, which is honestly a real shame because I could see them getting along really well together; I feel like MCD Katelyn hasn’t really gotten the chance to enjoy domesticity in her life for a LONG time, and KC would be the perfect person to reintroduce her to the ideas of romance, affection, and gentleness that she's lack for so long. I feel there's good potential KC could become one of the few people she could be emotionally vulnerable around.

-Aphmau x Sasha: In mcd I want enemies to lovers with them, I think it's be best if that relationship started forming in season 2 though, not season 1. Also I think it'd be a better way to further the plot when considering the Nether. In Mys, I personally hold no strong feelings towards or against it, but anything would probably be better then aarmau. In Pdh I think it'd be really neat ship but I don't remember how old Sasha was in that series so if she was a freshman/sophomore I don't think Id mind the ship. If She was a Junior, it depends, they'd actually have to have a relationship that was healthy and even then it's still really iffy. And if she was a Senior it's a hard NO from me

-Katelyn x KC: I can see them being amazing Platonic lovers, but romantically I'm not really sure. MCD: No Mys: Maybe, but they both have to actually acknowledge each other. But seeing as I'm a sucker for the "They were roommates" trope I can't seeing it being a terrible ship, but they'd have to grow as characters Pdh: Personally I don't see it happening but it could be a "They both have a crush on each other and refuse to admit it" thing

-Laurance x Kenmur: I only say yes in mcd, the other universe's just don't make sense. Childhood Friends to Lovers. Kenmur being attracted to both Zvhal's. Laurance already qualifies as someone Kenmur confides in, which I love. The two of them getting closer after Sasha's death, thinking their love is wrong and/or unrequited. Actually admitting their feelings after the Irene Dimmension mess. Nice ship, gives me brainrot

-Lucinda x Emmalyn: (mcd, in pdh/mys they like never interact))Yes<3 no I will not explain. 10/10 ship anon, love them. I see nothing bad with this ship

-Jeffery x Travis: ooo I actually like this one! It's kinda odd though, but in mys I think it'd be pretty cute. Also Travis gets to date a dilf, good for him good for him. Actually, Travis being a Dad gives me brainrot. I'll expand on it later, in a different post or two.

I try to go about this without bringing my own biases and experience related to issue at hand– which is, to anybody reading, Garroth’s status of a xenophobe in person presents to me: My assertion that Garroth being showing xenophobic behaviors– which is intended by the writers to be interpreted as so– is a form of me performing victim blaming towards Garroth. this is gonna be a wild ride, so buckle up folks, I’m breaking down this example of an apologist and trying to downplay my points with their attempts of “explaining” a phobia I’m very familiar with. 

So you give an apology in the first message, which I’d like to address:

First episode, Liochant is introduced as a character who been around for a while– he isn’t fresh faced. He’s part of Katelyn’s version of Jury of 9, he went through he guard academy and if not that, Katelyn vouched for Liochant multiple of times. 

Technically, Liochant outranks Garroth when it comes the job as a guard because the Dragonward is seen the best of the best. And let me tell you something about Wonderbread over here– remember the conversation Garroth tried with Katelyn, asking her if Liochant being part of it was a good idea. 

Deadass. Garroth a goddamn snake. We are given, quite blatantly, Garroth’s reason of Lio’s suspicion. Wasn’t his character, Lio never gave Garroth to doubt him but Garroth knowing he’s from Tu’la?

 ALSO HEY. MY DUDE. SEPARATE RACIAL BIAS AND XENOPHOBIC BIAS. Because I never said Garroth dislike other races. Tu’la is shown to have multiple races residing in it– Garroth dislike people from Tu’la. He never really shown screen time with KC, so honestly IDK on that dynamic. But I do have something I agree with you:
